Q: Why do you have 4 different products, do
they do all the same things ?
A: The four products offer a variety of features which a variety
of consumers prefer. For example the mirror (1001B) has the most
features and offers a constant solution for handsfree conversations,
if a customer prefers something smaller then the steering wheel
unit (1005) is great because it has the same features as the mirror
except it doesn't have a record function and an ear piece for private
calls. They both have FM transmission capabilities to your car stereo
so that you can listen to the conversation on your stereo system
and they both have call display (name and number). They both have
long lasting Li-ion (lithium-ion) batteries and powerful internal
speakers as well. If you prefer something smaller and portable,
then you can opt for the 1006 which is a very cool solar powered
unit which fits on your sun visor or in a plastic craddle that sticks
with suction cups on your window. This unit is the clearest unit
of its type on the market, more so than the Motorola T505 or the
BlueAnt product. Finally, the fourth option is a headset for people

Q: When I go into my car do I have to power the unit off
and on ?
A: Your unit will always be "paired" to your cell phone
but once you leave your car the unit goes into "sleep"
mode to help conserve the battery life. When you return to the car
simply reboot the unit by turning the on/off button back to "on"
and it will reconnect to your phone.
A: Prior to using the device for the first time you must pair with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. The pairing procedure is different with various models of cell phones. Please refer to the user manual for your cell phone to see specific details regarding Bluetooth connectivity.
1. Turn on the device.
2. Activate your cell phone’s Bluetooth function. (Refer to the cell phone’s User Guide for instructions on Bluetooth).
3. Select the B.Sky device from the cell phone’s device list to pair the device.
4. Enter the pass code 0000 to confirm the pairing process.
5. “paired” will shown in blue on the LCM display.
6. “Connected” will appear on the screen.
Note: If the cell phone’s and/or the device’s battery is weak, you may lose the Bluetooth connection. Maintain the charge of the batteries to ensure good Bluetooth connectivity.
Master reset for the 1001B.
1) Disconnect the cell phone and the device. Note that the previous calls will be deleted at the same time when disconnected.
2) Delete recently dialed numbers: search the number and press "Up" and "Down" button at the same time to delete the number.
3) Delete recorded message: press "REC" button twice, quickly.

Q: Why am I getting a lot of static when listening
to music using the built-in FM transmitter?
A: This carkit has one of the clearest FM transmissions on the market,
if you are experiencing static, you must make sure you are doing the following:
1. Make sure you have selected a blank frequency (a part of the FM band that has no music or talking at all). You are looking for a station that has fuzzy static or complete dead air. In North America (Canada & USA), we have found that generally speaking, the lower part of the FM band, between 88.1 - 88.9 MHz, usually works best.
